I always knew I was an entrepreneur. Maybe it was because I loved business. I was always selling something. Plants from my dad’s greenhouse or pretty rocks I found by the railroad tracks. Maybe it was because I seemed to get fired from every other job I have every had! I just wanted more. I wanted to do something for myself. I didn't want to work for anyone and I still wanted to make enough money to take care of myself and my family. Which is exactly what I did. I have been a real estate investor for 10 years. 

 

 I own two companies and love every second. I started out as a "flipper" or "rehabber." I had NO money or credit. I was bound and determined to be successful and I made it a reality. If I can do it, you can do it. I started with my first flip in Waxahachie on the lake. I was able to get into the flip with no money or credit. Then I found out I needed $600.00 for attorney's fees. I borrowed $600.00 from my brother and a real estate investor was born! My first flip I was projected to profit around $15,000.00. I actually ended up making around 2,000.00. I made every mistake you could possibly make on my first flip and am still thankful for it. After that I started fixing my credit a little at a time. On my second flip I made $14,000.00 and a few flips later I did my most profitable flip. I purchased the property for 220,000.00 I put 120,000.00 into in renovations and sold it for 675,000.00 You do the math. Now, I own a ton of rental properties, buy, renovate and sell properties everywhere and own a general construction company. In the time I've been in this business I've found two truths, 1. the harder you work, the luckier you get and 2. You will not get what you deserve, you will get what you negotiate. You have to be a hustler. You have to decide to do it and do it without fear of failure. No one is going to do it for you and the clock is ticking. If I can do it, you can do it.
